Quick Q&A about the credits system

October 31, 2017

What are credits? – Credits are your way of paying for downloading domain reports from DomainEye.com. Credits are used for all our different domain search tools.

How do I get credits? – One way of getting credits is to purchase a paid subscription plan, which entitle you to a certain amount of monthly credits. You can also simply purchase as many credits as you want, as long as you have an account (whether free or paid).

How much do credits cost? – Depends on how you get them. The most expensive (and of course not recommendable) way to purchase credits is to have a free account and purchase credits – a bundle of 10 costs 4 Euro. But you can lower this price to 3, 2, even 1 Euro for 10 credits if you register a paid subscription plan – Basic, Business or Platinum. These plans also entitle you to respectively 200, 1000 and 5000 free credits per month, so depending on the volume of your downloads you may not even have the need to purchase any additional credits.

How much credits does it cost to download a report? – Depends on the volume of the report. Our system works quite easily – you take the amount of domains in the report, devide it by 100 and round the number in your favor (e.g. a report with 3600 domains costs 30 credits; a report with 4600 domains costs 40 credits; a report with 57000 domains costs 570 credits, etc.)

Is there a minimum amount of credits use? – There is a minimum use of 10 credits for any downloads below 2000 domains.

Are unused credits transferred from one month to the next? – Short answer: subscription credits don’t, extra purchased credits do. Say that you have a Business plan, which grants you 1000 credits per month, for 6 months. By the end of the 1st month you have only used 900 credits and still have 100 remaining. When the month is over and the 2nd month starts, your credits will be reset to 1000 again. Unlike the subscription credits, however, the extra credits you may have bought in case you ran out of credits by the end of the month or you had insufficient credits to purchase a report, will get transferred to the next month if unused. So if you have bought 500 extra credits and used only 200 of them, when the next month starts you will still have the remaining 300 credits in your account.

Can I return credits that I haven’t used and get my money back? – No, there are no monetary refunds for the credits you have. If you cancel your subscription, or DomainEye cancels your subscription due to your breach of our Terms & Conditions, then unused credits are lost. If your subscription is cancelled for other reasons and without any breach of the terms, write to us and we will provide you again with the credits you’ve lost. For more details on the refund policy, please check our Terms & Conditions.
